Clarissa sneered at the girl, watching as they attacked. As Fuyu was hit, she frowned, worried about her partner. "Fuyu, Synchronoise, quickly!" The small normal type nodded, sending out a sudden shock wave at the other Pokémon, annoyed at being hit. Sadly, the attack failed to connect, causing Clarissa to frown.

Mareep watched it's opponent carefully, managing to dodge the move when they tried to attack it. Crystal smiled briskly and brightly - immediately, she began to clap her hands slowly together, as if to cheer on her Pokemon. Medea was doing well in the fight so far - if they kept this up, then she would eventually be positive in the Pokemon's prowess and future possibilities.
The smile blossomed, gaining more strength across her face. She knew logically that this strong front wouldn't hold up forever, though. Her opponent would surely manage to scar her - if she wasn't careful, that scarring might be a heavy blow. No need to take that kind of chance. Cautiously, she held out her hand again, pointing towards the small fox-like Pokemon. "Switch it up! Use Tackle, instead!"
Her Pokemon narrowed it's eyes upon the opponent. Thoughtfully, she might have cared for the individual but the heat of the battle demanded that she keep herself on her guard. In an instance, the Mareep charged blindly forward, aiming to Tackle her opponent to the ground.

Well the battle wasn't going in their favor, it seemed. Brick had been in these situations before, however, and had often times pulled through with King. "King, use Chip Away" Brick called out. The Nidoking went through with the attack.
[RESULT: 1]
And...once again not too effective. Nidoking must not have been on his A game today. Maybe he had a tummy ache.

Diana smiled as Silencia almost completely dodged another attack, flapping her wings and going airborne.
"Air Slash!" Diana commanded. The Absol roared as she thrusted her wings forward, sending a visible blade of air towards the Nidoking.

The little goody-goodies were doing well, she supposed. Better than she and her own partner were doing. "Try Synchronoise again, Fuyu!" This had better work. The small Eevee was her only partner, she needed this attack to land. And, for the other Pokémon's next attack to miss, as well. This time they were lucky, and the shock wave connected.

The Synchronoise hit the Mareep dead on, knocking her completely off balance for a moment. The little blue sheep took the full force of the waves as they attacked her and froze in place for several minutes as the attack took it's toll. Medea had to effectively shake herself, clearing her head of the attack entirely, before she could prepare for the next wave.
Crystal growled, clenching her teeth together. Involuntarily, her fists balled up so tight, her nails were digging into the flesh on the sides of them. She stood there, trying to collect her cool - she wasn't angry and didn't appear to be. Instead, her adrenaline was pumping with the battle, now that it seemed to really start to boil. She held out her hand again, pointing towards the little brown Pokemon once more.
One more good attack and we could win this! She thought to herself, as her hand swung out, away from her body. All of the fingers on it were balled, except for one that pointed towards the Eevee, highlighting it out from the crowd. "Medea, think you have one more Spark?" The little sheep Pokemon nodded it' head firmly. "Alright then, use Spark!"
The Pokemon charged up a ball of electricity through it's fur. In the next instance, it ran full force forward, aiming to bombard the other Pokemon with it's attack. Hopefully this would land and more hopefully it would seal the deal for them. But she bit her lips - they could only hope.
[RESULT: Miss]
The attack missed entirely, and the Mareep went skittering off, away from her opponent. Perhaps she just wasn't ready for another Spark attack? Crystal thought to herself, perhaps I should have went with Tackle...

The Mareep's attack had missed, and that meant they were still in the game. Thankfully, that meant they had a chance of still making off with the egg. "Fuyu, Synchronoise, again!" she called out, the small Eevee once again sending a powerful shock wave at the other Pokémon. It this worked, they would hopefully be on an even footing for this battle. If not, they were still in danger of being taken out with one good move.
'Right. As SOON as I graduate, I'm catching a wider variety of Pokémon. Probably should have done that before signing up, now that I'm thinking about it,' she thought, waiting to see what happened. The attack connected again, bringing the electric type further down.

Well, a little better than last time anyway. Maybe Nidoking just needed a moment to get rolling? Maybe they should have meditated and did some stretches before battle.

With the next attack hitting, the Mareep allowed angry sparks to light up through her fur. Only a tad few skewered off around the sides - most of them only ran through the soft, white fluffy cottony "fur" that covered most of the Pokemon's body. Crystal narrowed her eyes down upon her opponent, locking on her target. This time she wouldn't miss - this she was hopefully sure about.
At least...if the Mareep would keep her head clear like she was doing at the beginning. It's not her fault, though... Crystal tried to relent inside of her mind. She's trying her best... She turned to her Pokemon buddy, a bright smile booming over her face. "Get ready." She told her little friend. "And use another Tackle this time." She ordered her Pokemon.
The little blue sheep nodded her head firmly, rushing towards her opponent. With all of it's strength and might, it would tackle straight into it's opponent, hopefully knocking it off-balance and sending it flying. She may not knock it out of the game but...come on, baby, make it hit! Let it rain down for them, victory all around! Come on baby, just one good strike....

Clarissa bared her teeth at her opponent in an almost feral move, mirrored almost perfectly by her Eevee, in an attempt to startle their opponents and intimidate them. Still, no matter what happened, they'd do their best. "All right, let's try for a Tackle this time!" she called.
Fuyu nodded, setting himself for a headlong rush at the other Pokémon. He pushed off heavily, throwing himself at the other in an attempt to knock it down and out. However, he slipped on something, sending him off course and causing him to very nearly get between the Nidoking and Absol. However, he got control and managed to move back to the area his own fight was it, avoiding being injured by the other two fighters.
Clarissa snarled, annoyed with the miss. If they didn't get lucky, these idiots would get their egg! That COULD NOT happen, at any cost!

Somehow Crystal couldn't help but feeling that it would be better in the long run to use a Spark. In fact, if she went full force with the attack perhaps they could knock their opponents out of the ring and attain a victory for the team? Then it would be up to Silencia and trainer to win the fight overall - surely not a hard thing to ask for?
But she was getting ahead of herself. The fight was far from over. Carefully and cautiously, she raised her hand again to point towards the little Eevee. But she dropped it halfway - why should she have to do this all the time? No, by now the Mareep knew all too well who her opponent was. She wouldn't need to play 'coach' to a Pokemon who knew how to battle and had more power in one paw than Crystal probably had in her whole body.
She glanced over to her partner and her team...that looked more logically like a close-call as well, though maybe their side was winning all around? She didn't like to consider so, so soon. Focusing back on her fight, she shouted once more to Medea, "use Spark!"
The electricity surged through the Mareep's fur, as it bristled. Without another word spoken, the little sheep rushed forward to tackle it's opponent with it's Spark attack.
[RESULT: 0]
The attack had no effect at all. In fact, the electricity seemed to short circuit in the Pokemon's fur just as soon as it tried to make contact. Crystal frowned heavily - yeah....she'd better stick to Tackle.

Clarissa had to hide a smile as the electricity that was discharged into her partner's fur caused it to stick up in all directions. That was, amusing, but distracting. She watched her partner shake himself quickly, but the fur seemed unwilling to settle down. "Try Tackle again Fuyu!" she called.
The small normal type nodded sharply, before charging his opponent once again. They would PAY for messing his fur up. Very, very much so. If his attack hit, they would learn why he was not one to anger. This time he hit, knocked his lowered head against the other Pokémon's body, hard. They could still win this battle!

Medea seemed to be rather annoyed with the Pokemon as soon as it's attack hit. It wasn't only powerful - it sent her spiraling across the field, hitting her back into a tree. The little blue sheep hopped up immediately, but it almost fell on it's front two paws. Slowly, it took in deep breaths of air, glaring at it's opponent heavily through almost slitted eyes. This totally replaced the 'motherly' side that the Pokemon would have usually shown.
"Quick, use Tackle!" She ordered her Pokemon. The Mareep ran forward, hopefully tackling dead on into her opponent. She wasn't only hoping for that, though - she wanted to take her opponent out completely. The sheep Pokemon put everything it had into this one Tackle, trying to completely knock her opponent out of the ring.

Diana looked over at her ally, who was locked in an epic battle with her opponent's own partner. She gave a slight whimper at not being able to help Crystal, but had to concentrate on the battle at hand.
"Zen Headbutt, once more!" She commanded. She'd help Crystal if she could beat this Nidoking. Silencia nodded and dove down, spiraling as her forehead glowed, towards King.

While Fuyu was hit, he recovered quickly, shaking himself off. His trainer watched, and waited, before calling out another attack. "Fuyu, Tackle once more! Make this one count!" The small Pokémon responded quickly, throwing himself at his opponent with the full weight of his body behind it. The attack successfully connected, sending the other Pokémon to the ground, where it was no longer able to get up. "Good job, Fuyu!" she called, a smirk crossing her face. They'd won.
