X-Transceivers The X-Transceiver is the newest character upgrade to hit VictorySeekers. They arrived shortly after the first wide-scaled attack by Team Necro on Quakita City, but until now, were only available to Gym Leaders, Center Heads, the leaders of both organizations and the admins. They come only in purple, the regional color, and can be purchased from the Droughtenna Department Store's 5th floor for ¥300 each. The X-transceiver is a multi-use item and can be used anytime, anywhere by it's owner. However, it is restricted to one character and one character only. It cannot be transferred to another character, even ones you own. If you decide to get rid of a character who owns an XT, you will lose that XT. If you want one for each of your characters, you`ll have to buy one for each. Now that we've got all the rules and stuff out of the way, let's get to the fun part! With an X-Transceiver you can: - Talk to other characters who have them, even if they aren't in your thread. - Talk to any gym leader, center head, or elite four member you want. - Get and send Pokemon to help you through a new feature exclusive to Varaia! When Ecli Gym Leader Z brought the X-Transceivers here, he took them to Thundera Gym Leader Buzzworth and he managed to tweak it to connect to the Pokeball Network. When you need help, all you have to do is call whoever you want and they will send a pokemon to you. You may request any pokemon except Z's pokemon, as he does not use pokeballs. Breeding Centers, with the exception of Paradisia, tend to actually have very weak pokemon, as most of their pokemon are babies. Nearby Legendary pokemon may come in to help them but for the most part, the Centers rely on their hidden locations and on the gym leaders and trainers for protection. Do not be surprised if you find yourself called on by a Breeding Center head or even a gym leader. When this happens, you can pick one of your pokemon to send and when they are returned, they will be a higher level and may be carrying an item as thanks. You may ONLY use the Gym Leader call feature during a Team Necro attack when you find yourself horribly outnumbered or outmatched. You cannot call a Breeding Center for help as they really don't have pokemon strong enough to help you. Each Breeding center really only has one non-mascot defender unless they are caring for legendaries, so it is better to ask a Gym Leader for help. You may also call each other for help, but this won't really do you any good because neither trainer's pokemon will grow a level in this method. Trainer-to-trainer calling should be used as normal communication or on the rare chance that all Pokemon League Representatives are too busy to answer.

Legendary Pokemon Except for the Mystery Pokemon Professor Conifer has, which can be any pokemon, and the Breeding Centers, Events are the only way to get a legendary pokemon. Legendary Events only take place once a certain plot-point has been reached by a character. Only characters who are in the radius of the area can participate in these events. For example, once someone beats the Quakita Gym, an event will take place and all characters who are in Quakita City, Route 803 and Route 804/Sunspot Mountain can participate. The Player who activates the event is guaranteed to get a legendary. If there is more than one legendary in the event, the other legendary/ies will randomly go to another character who is participating. If there are no other characters present, the person who activated the event will get to choose which legendary they want and all others will be delivered to Professor Conifer's breeder friend for breeding, thus increasing the chances of a Mystery Pokemon being a Legendary. If multiple players activate an event simultaneously, though unlikely, then both will get a choice of legendary pokemon if there is more than one available. If there is not, then the players must decide who it goes to and the other player will get a refill on any TM/HM they like. They may also decline the legendary, who will either choose a player anyway and call their friends for the others or they will seek out a high-end breeder, who may or may not send mystery pokemon to Professor Conifer (though this is unlikely since legendaries are coveted by all in Varaia, and only Conifer's friend is willing to part with a legendary for the sake of shocking the professor.) Talking Pokemon Unlike with legendary pokemon, talking pokemon can be obtained in a variety of ways. They have a chance at showing up as a starter, mystery pokemon or not. Talking Pokemon may also be encountered in the wild, though they are on par with Shiny pokemon in terms of rarity this way. Unlike Shiny Pokemon, the chances of encountering a wild Talking pokemon may increase as your post count gets higher until it reaches 50% at 100 posts. Once you reach 100 posts, you may choose to either encounter a wild talking pokemon or, if making a new character, start with one. When you have made your decision, you will have to wait another 100 posts before you can have a high chance of encountering one again. Because of their talents, Talking Pokemon may not be separated from their trainers at all except in the case of licensed breeders. Breeders who have obtained a grant and bought a plot of land to build their Centers may leave their Talking Pokemon at the Breeding Center to run it should he/she decide to continue their journey.

Here on VS, Vouchers are VERY coveted items. They allow us to bend the rules a bit and to be nice to our characters in general. Vouchers are obtained in various ways, mostly as on-site contest prizes (though we DO have an offsite contest on rare occasions). The difficulty level of the contest determines the Voucher that is given as the prize. There are 5 kinds of Vouchers on VS. Pokemon obtained via Voucher are considered event pokemon, and are guaranteed to the person who used the voucher. This means that, even if it is wild, a pokemon summoned by a voucher will NOT run away, and CANNOT be KO'd. The vouchers are as follow, in no particular order: Legend Voucher The Legend Voucher is a mystical item that, when exchanged, gives the holder a Legendary pokemon. The Legendary that is obtained from the voucher is always random, and has a 10% chance of being shiny, the highest chance of shininess possible on VictorySeekers without a Shiny or Arceus Voucher. This CANNOT be combined with the Shiny Voucher to guarantee a shiny legendary. If used in conjunction with a Shiny voucher, the Shiny Voucher will cancel out the 10% shiny rate of the legend voucher and your legendary will NOT be shiny at all. Shiny Voucher The Shiny Voucher causes the next pokemon you obtain to be Shiny. To use it, you simply tell an admin which character you want to use it on, and the next pokemon they encounter will be shiny. In the case where multiple wild pokemon in the same battle are shiny, the one summoned by the voucher will be labeled as such. This CANNOT be combined with the Legend Voucher to guarantee a shiny legend. If used in conjunction with a legend voucher, it will cancel out the 10% shiny rate of the legend voucher and the legendary will NOT be shiny at all. Attack Voucher A simple voucher that allows the user to give one pokemon any move available on VS as a TM, Bred, or Tutor Move. Moves that are obtainable by level are limited by the pokemon's own level, meaning a level 5 Dialga cannot learn Roar of Time until it is level 45. Shop Voucher Perhaps the least coveted of all the vouchers, the shop Voucher, as it implies, allows the holder to obtain any item in Droughtenna's department store free of charge, within certain limitations. Arceus Voucher The Arceus Voucher is the rarest, most coveted voucher on VS. It allows the holder to obtain ANY pokemon they wish, of any rarity and type. This includes all normal pokemon, events, legends, talkers, and everything else. Shininess is at the discretion of the Voucher's Owner.
