With a loud yawn, Carina stretched while Archeops marched forward, leading the group deeper and deeper underground while her Deino trotted close by her side. When Archeops finally stopped, Carina leaned down and snapped a helmet on her head as well as her pokemon's and grabbed a pickaxe.
"Can we go yet?" She lamented loudly. Archeops rolled his eyes and cleared his throat.
"Yep, but when I leave, the rest of you leave. Get going." He said. Carina smiled and slugged her Deino's helmet, grinning.
"Let's go Fluffbutt Mc.Flufferkins." She chirped, the deino barking in agreement while they searched for a good spot.

Nick was skipping into the cave behind the rest of the group. He quickly placed a helmet on his head and then released his Charmander from her pokeball. The fire starter looked around this way and that before looking up at her trainer wondering just what they were doing here. "We're going on a dig, Chara! Let's go! Dig over there, please?" Nick responded to the Charmander's silent query before asking it to dig for him. Chara nodded her head and began digging where her trainer wanted her to. [RESULT: 9] Your dig yields a  Old Amber! |

Running the end of her pickace along the wall, Carina casually searched for a good place to dig. She stopped once at the wall and carefully tapped it with the butt of her pickaxe before nodding.
"Alright Fluffbutt, let'er rip right here" She said, tapping the wall again. With an accompanying squeak/roar, the deino charged forward and rammed his head into the spot Carina indicated.
[RESULT: 3]

"Good job Chara!" Nick exclaimed as he took the old amber. A fossil, eh? Well this was awesome. He'd want to keep that safely tucked away. He stuck the item in his backpack and continued the dig. He wasn't about to stop there. No sir!
"Now let's have a go over there." Nick pointed just to Chara's left. The Charmander looked to her left before turning back to Nick and giving a nod of agreement. She made her way over there and continued digging.
[RESULT: 5]

Carina shrugged as she tapped the place next to their initial dig.
"How about here butt?" She said. The deino brushed his paws along the ground and charged towards the area she tapped, smashing it with his head.

Nick nodded his head in approval. Chara was very good at this. He placed the gems that she dug up in his backpack. Once he was done, he looked around for another spot. He walked over to another place in the mine and pointed to a spot. "How about we try over here Chara?" he asked the Charmander. She nodded in agreement and moved over to dig where he was pointing.

With a smirk, Carina patted her little dragon while she scoped another place, tapping the rock with her pickaxe. Without being told, Fluffbutt Mc. Flufferkins made a beeline for the rock, smashing his head into it.

More gems for Nick to stash away. He couldn't help but smile as he looked them over before placing them in his backpack. This was going quite well. He looked for another spot before calling out to his Charmander. "Hey Chara. How about over there to your right?" he asked her. Chara nodded without looking back to her trainer and moved to the spot she knew he was talking about and began digging.

With a sigh Carina gave a reassuring pet to her friend, smiling at the deino even though he couldn't see it.
"Try it one more time, you pick a direction." She chirped. With a squawk, the deino charged forward in a random direction and plowed into the wall, calling his trainer over.

Yet more gems. Nick beamed as he placed more of them into his backpack. "Good work Chara. Now let's see. Where to dig next...?" he trailed off as he rubbed his chin and looked around. He began walking a little further into the mine before he finally spotted another place. He pointed to the spot. "Chara, over here please." he asked nicely. Chara complied, walking over to the spot and digging yet again. Just what would turn up this time?
