The sun peaking through the leaves of the forest did little to encourage Lesa to wake up. Rather, she simply groaned at the light that danced in front of her eyes, nuzzling closer into the warm fur and blankets that were surrounding her. Of course, those weren't the only things surrounding her. In fact, at the moment it was rather hard to see that there was actually a human in that pile somewhere. At the very bottom of said pile, Lesa was curled up in her sleeping bag, using Comet's big body as a pillow. Her arm was thrown protectively over the container the held her egg, her new egg, though that was still a lot to wrap her mind around. Sometime during the night, her three companions had released themselves from their balls and were now sleeping every which way next to and on top of the girl. It was a wonder she wasn't smothered with all the warm fur around her
But it did make a good light shield.
At least until the peeping started. Right next to her ear.
Pi. Pi. Pi. PI. PI. PI. PI! PI! PI! PIDGEY!
This last was accompanied by a none too gentle peck to the ear, which sent Lesa, and those who'd been using her for a pillow, flying. "Oh, for the love of caterpie, Jupiter! Did you have to bite so hard?! I think you made my ear bleed!" Oh, no. Lesa definitely was NOT a morning person. That much was obvious as she brought her hand down from where she had cupped it around her ear, inspecting the digits carefully for any signs of blood. When she found none, and only then, did the girl get up and move over to her bag, grouchily grabbing the container of food from it.
She was muttering the whole time about insufferable pidgey. "I shouldn't even feed you for that," she was grumbling, though they all knew very well and good that the girl would never not feed any of them. And so it was, for in just a few minutes all of them were sitting and munching happily while Lesa tried to get herself in order. For a moment she had an intense craving for home and her mother's pancakes, but she shook the feeling off and began pulling things out of her bag for her own breakfast, stoking the fire that they had created last night into a well contained blaze. She cooked enough for her self and Celeste, not knowing if the girl had anything of her own. It may not have been the best food in the world, but it was warm and palatable. Lesa was not disappointed when the girl abandoned her slight breakfast of a twinkie and dug in.
The group ate in companionable silence, allowing Lesa enough time to form herself into a proper human being over breakfast, then chatted idly as they cleaned up from their meal and stamped out the fire. Comet had tried to help, but he hadn't quite gotten the hang of the differences between a giant blast of water and enough to simply put out flames. They all had a good laugh over that, at least until Lesa glanced at her watch. "Holy magikarp! We gotta get going! That contest's registration is in less than an hour!"
A whirlwind could have gone through the camp in slower than these girls as they picked up and tossed everything into their bags. Lesa returned her well fed companions to their balls, checked to make sure the master ball was still safely tucked away, then picked up her egg and slung herself up onto Comet's back. Her bag was a little bulky, she wasn't quite sure what to do with the container from Trevor's breeding center and had put it away, intending to ask once they reached Torrentia.
"Come on, Celeste, get on," she said finally, offering the girl her hand to help her onto the suicune's back. There were only two of them, so Comet could carry them without too much of an issue despite being smaller than Ranny.

Celeste was grateful for both the breakfast and the ride as the pair walked through SeaRidge town, looking for the site of the next contest. It did not take long for them to find the Contest Hall, and Celeste practically vibrated in excitement as she clutched her egg tightly.
"I`m so excited, this is my first contest! Let's go in Lesa!" She said, dragging the girl into the contest hall. The girls looked around at the coordinators who stood in the lobby preparing their pokemon. Celeste's confidence was suddenly shot as she looked around at the other coordinators.
"T-there sure is a lot of competition...." She said, clutching her egg tightly. Vulpina rubbed her head against Celeste's leg comfortingly as they walked up to the counter, manned by a nurse joy. The pokemon doctor turned and saw Celeste and gave a smile.
"Hello there! Are you wanting to be in the contest? May I see your pass please?" She asked, Celeste's eyes widened and she started to breathe faster
"I need a contest pass?! I don't have one!" She yelped, only to be silenced by the calm nurse.
"It's alright, I can issue you one here. May I see identification?" She said. Pendra reached into her bag and pulled out Celeste's pokedex, handing it to her. Nurse Joy took the contraption and uploaded its data into her computer, pulling out a laminated card from one of the ports and handed both it and the pokedex to Celeste.
"You're all registered! I've already signed you up for the contest too. Coordinators report backstage in thirty minutes. Good luck Celeste." She said with a warm smile. Celeste nodded and gave her pokedex and pass back to Pendra who put it away in her bag for her, and she and Lesa moved back to the lobby to sit in some of the chairs. Celeste sat down and placed her egg beside her, bringing Vulpina up and setting her in her lap. She reached behind her towards Pendra without looking back.
"Brush please." She asked. Pendra reached into her bag and pulled out a brush, which Celeste promptly grabbed and began using on her Zorua. She absentmindedly stroked the little fox as she thought about the events from the last few days.
"I`m so nervous, what if we aren't ready for this?" She said as she continued to groom her pokemon.

Lesa couldn't help but smile as she watched Celeste interact smoothly with her pokemon. It was more like they were two pieces of the same body, rather than separate entities, and that was a good thing. Being so in tune with each other meant that they had a good understanding of one another, and would work well. In such relationships information didn't have to be shared through words alone.
She stayed back while the Joy registered her, then followed her friend as deeply into the building as she could, plopping down beside the girl as she groomed her team for the upcoming performance. "You'll do fine. You've survived a fire, defeated Team Necro, twice, saved an egg, and helped me face down a murderous entei. A pokemon contest is nothing compared to all that!" The girl chuckled, reaching out to pat Comet as she watched the zorua purr and close her eyes from pleasure at the brush.
A moment later, a crackling voice announced over the speakers that the contest would begin shortly, and all contestants needed to move to their appointed areas. Lesa turned to Celeste and gave her a reassuring smile. "You'll do fine. Comet and I will be routing for you from the stands." Her eyes darted to the egg that her friend usually carried. "Do you want me to take care of that for you while you compete? I promise to take good care of it." She shifted her own egg to one arm, holding out her hand in an offer to take whatever Celeste might need looked after.

Celeste chuckled at Lesa's assessment of the situation and nodded. She was right, of course. What reason did Celeste have to be afraid of a small competition when she stared death in the face multiple times and made fart sounds at it? She shook the nervousness out of her mind when the speakers called for the Coordinators. She gulped and stood up, setting down Vulpina and grabbing her egg.
"Thanks, I would really appreciate it if you took Vulpina with you too. I want her to see what this looks like. Thanks so much, for everything." She beamed, handing her her egg. She looked down at Vulpina as she grabbed Pendra's pokeball and recalled the big red bug.
"Stay with Lesa ok? I`ll see you guys in the waiting room after my turn." She said, joining the swarm of coordinators as they herded through the door. She could hear Lesa and Vulpina wishing her luck behind her as they left to go find their seats, and Celeste was happy.
"Hey there everyone! It's time for the first contest of the year here in SeaRidge Town! I`m your MC Obsidian. Let's meet our judges. First we have SeaRidges own Nurse Joy!"
"It's great to be here!"
"And the pokemon contest organizer Mr. Contesta!"
"It will be wonderful to see all the new coordinators and fresh combinations."
"And the president of the pokemon fanclub, Mr. Sukizo!"
"Remarkable!"
"The first round will be a double-performance. Coordinators will have to use two pokemon and combine their moves to earn points from our judges. Now let's bring out our first contestant and geeeeet busy!" She said drawing a roar from the crowd.
Celeste sat in the waiting room as number after number was called and thought about her journey so far. Her pokemon had gotten strong, she met all kinds of legendary pokemon and made some new good friends. She looked up as some guys Spoink bounced on a Feraligatr's Aqua Tail and she wondered if Sawyer was watching. Truth be told, she missed her original traveling partner and while traveling with Lesa was awesome, she wanted her little "family" to be complete again. She spent so much time thinking about her friends that she almost missed her call and rushed to get to the stage, awkwardly trying to place her pokeballs in their capsules.
"And now let's welcome our next contestant, Celeste from Thundera City!" Obsidian called as Celeste appeared on stage. She could hear Vulpina's wild screams of encouragement as she gripped her pokeballs tightly, tossing them casually into the air.
"Pendra, Reso, it's ShowTime!" She called as her pokemon appeared showered in rainbow sparks. Both pokemon landed on the ground gracefully and Celeste gulped as they waited for her commands.
"Alright Pendra, Poison Sting! Reso, use Confusion!" She called. Pendra raised her tail and shot out numerous purple stingers, launching them into the crowd. But before they could reach anyone they suddenly stopped and changed direction, heading back towards Celeste. Reso lifted his arms and waved his hands, molding them all into shapes. The stingers formed giant connect-the-dot pictures that took the shape of a flower, a ditto, a meowth and, as a tribute to her newest friend, a Suicune. Celeste grinned as she saw shape after shape form, dang near cheering herself when she saw the suicune, that was the hardest picture to make. All good things have to come to an end though, and Celeste raised her hand and gave a large smiled.
"Time for the grand finally, Reso, send them up high and let them go. Pendra, use Poison Sting again!" She said. The pokemon did as they were told, and as Pendra fired the poisonous stingers they collided in midair, creating purple fireworks. Celeste, Reso and Pendra all bowed as the crowd cheered and they went back into the waiting area, anxious for the results.

It wasn't really surprising that Sawyer and her troop were a little late to the contest. They were a day or so behind thanks to her need to train and complete the Gym battle, so when she was traveling, Sawyer was more or less running and sprinting. Her calves were howling like a pack of Houndoom because of it, but being able to sit down and watch the contest begin helped tremendously. She was dying to hear from her friends if anything had happened during their trip to the contest hall, but that would have to wait.
The Feraligatr and Spoink routine was creative, she had to admit. She never would have thought a giant blue beast such as that would do well in contests, but she supposed it was what shone through with moves and charisma that really mattered. He looked well groomed, at least. Her mind wandered to a point in the future when Luca would evolve into a Haxorus. When she first laid eyes on one, it wasn't the most appealing creature, even though its expression seemed gentle outside of battle. But now that she realized her little Axew would hopefully evolve into one, Sawyer knew for a fact she'd do no less than love the species. So maybe that was what the coordinator was feeling when it came to her Feraligatr - unmatched adoration that she thought everyone else saw as well. Still... a Feraligatr, cute? Awesome, sure. But cute?
And then Sawyer remembered that there were different types of contests. Who said the huge pokemon was entering a cute contest anyway? Well, so much for ten minutes worth of mental debate. Throwing her hands up in slight frustration, the girl set her sights on the performers again, albeit she wasn't as enthused about them as before. Thankfully Celeste was called out not too long after and her spirits were set straight.
Overall, the performance both surprised and amazed the trainer. Who knew that two simple attacks such as Poison Sting and Confusion could do all that? And, with no offense towards her friend, who knew Celeste could come up with something like that? Took a lot of imagination and practice, that much was for sure. Both she and Luca rose in their seats to cheer for Celeste like a maniac before she left the stage, the lizard nearly losing his grip on Sawyer's shirt when she jerked forward. She still had the battling round to go, and she hoped that her friend made it to the next one.
As she waited, Sawyer focused on looking through the crowd for Lesa. It would be a lot easier thanks to Comet being loose - the big puppy was impossible not to spot. But the more she looked, the more she realized that even though the Suicune was rather large, he was still being cloaked by the crowd. She was sure the breeder would have at least one of her pokemon out or was holding onto one of Celeste's for her, and unless they'd acquired some new friends during their trip from Gustella to here, they would help her spot her target as well. Or at least, she hoped it would turn out that way. There was quite the mass surrounding her and there were several different sections to look at, and almost half a dozen performances had taken place during her search. Maybe it would be easier to find Lesa once things settled down, IF they did at all. Or thanks to Luca being perched on her shoulder, maybe Lesa would spot her first if she just so happened to be looking. Nodding to herself, Sawyer looked back and watched the final displays, her egg tingling against her chest as if it too thought that was the best plan. Hopefully she'd spot Comet at least when the people thinned out.

How Sawyer could miss Comet, Lesa would never know. After leaving Celeste, the breeder had taken her brood, and it was quite the juggling act, and elbowed her way through the crowd in search for a place to sit. Of course, her way had gotten progressively easier as whispers erupted around the hall, people stepping back to give the girl with two eggs, a zorua, and a suicune in tow room to pass as they stared at her. By the time her little band had made it to a seat, there seemed to be a bubble around them that people were apparently afraid to intrude upon.
Well, it made it easier to watch the contest, that was for sure.
Many of the entrants were impressive, but she quickly found herself growing bored with watching people she didn't know. So her eyes wandered about the crowd instead. People watching was a past time for Lesa, and she much more enjoyed watching the reactions of the crowd than the actual performances. Which was how she spotted a familiar speck way on the other side of the crowd, with a little axew on it's shoulder. Sawyer was here! She must have gotten her badge then! Good!
When it was Celeste's time to compete, Lesa paid complete attention to her, ooh'ing and ahh'ing with appreciation. When a suicune was her last trick, Lesa would have clapped, but with her hands full of egg, she had to settle for a shout of approval and a wolf whistle. As the girl exited the arena, the breeder made her move as well, slipping from the stands and through the crowd with the help of her Comet bubble, quickly making her way backstage to give her friend the congratulations she deserved.

Celeste sat on one of the benches in the waiting room and rocked back and forth on the chair, trying to burn off some nervous energy. Pendra and Reso watched her as she stared up at the screen, urging Obsidian to announce the ones going onto the next round. Celeste swallowed hard and turned to her pokemon, who looked very worried about her. She smiled and hugged them both tightly.
"I`ll be ok, I`m just so nervous!" She said as she put them back down. Suddenly she was tackled from behind and fell onto the floor. Turning over she saw her beloved Zorua waggng her tail and nuzzling Celeste's chin, and the coordinator hugged the pokemon as she struggled to sit up, to be greeted by the sight of Lesa. She was about to rip into her with all of her excited thoughts when Obsidian came onto the screen.
"And we're back to the glorious SeaRidge Town contest! Up next is the battle round, where coordinators will compete in double battles. They will have five minutes to show off powerful and beautiful moves! The winner is the one who has the most points at the end of five minutes or knocks out their opponents team! And now for the moment you have all been waiting for, the judges have selected these eight coordinators to compete in the battle round!"
Celeste and Lesa watched with baited breath as picture after picture showed up, and Celeste tightened her grip on Vulpina as her picture failed to show. Soon, 7 pictures were on the screen and the 8th had yet to show, and Celeste looked utterly destroyed, turning her head down in shame. A tap on her shoulder and she turned around to see Sawyer at her back.
"Sawyer! You came!" She said happily. Sawyer pointed up at the screen and Celeste looked, gasping when she saw it. Her picture had finally shown! She barely made her way in. Celeste whooped for joy as she spun each of her pokemon around.
"We did it! We did it! Reso, Pendra, thank you both so much! I couldn't have done this without you!" She chirped happily. She suddenly stopped mid-twirl and thought deeply about something.
"It's a double battle, and I don't want to reuse any of my pokemon. I can use Vulpina, but what about my other pokemon?" She muttered out loud. She thought long and hard when Lesa turned to Aunia, whispering something to her. The eevee walked up to Celeste and tapped her ankle with her paw, whipping her tail.
"I will gladly volunteer to be your other pokemon, but you owe me for this!" Said the fiery eevee. Celeste smiled and bent down to scratch Aunia's ears, chuckling.
"Thank you. We better get ready. Sawyer, Lesa, we`ll make you proud." She said as her friends turned to go back to the stands.
The battle round went flawlessly for Celeste and her crack team of foxes. Aunia kept shouting advice to Celeste for moves and made sarcastic quips every time Celeste commanded her to do something, though she gladly obeyed anyway. Between her suggestions and Celeste's sense of style and ability to think on the draw, the three of them managed to fight their way all the way to the final battle.
The two coordinators stood on either side of the field, ready to give it their all in this last fight. Whoever won this battle would win the SeaRidge ribbon, and Celeste was determined to be the one to do so. With five minutes on the clock, she and her opponent threw their pokeballs and prepared to fight.
"Aunia, Vulpina, it's showtime!" She said as the eevee/zorua duo emerged from their sparkly rainbow cloud.
"Wingull, Starly, let's go!" Her opponent called as his pokemon broke out of a fog cloud. The clock began ticking and the bird user made the first move.
"Use double aerial ace!" He demanded. The birds hooked their feet together and spun towards the fox pokemon with rapid movement.
[RESULT: 4]
"Take it head-on with Tackle and Pursuit!" Celeste commanded, counting on their endurance to get them through this attack. The two pokemon ran in sync towards their opponents in an attempt to clash their powers with them.
[RESULT: 2]
And the attack worked for the most part, injuring the birds but also damaging Aunia and Vulpina too. Aunia looked at Celeste with narrowed eyes and huffed a little.
"We're not going to get anywhere with this, you need to be smarter!" She snapped at the coordinator.

With every tier that Celeste climbed, Sawyer became more anxious. The battles were getting harder and the opponents' techniques were getting more creative, and even though her friend was zooming through them, she could detect a slight decrease in kick-ass power the further she went. And now with these two birds hidden in a cloud of fog every time they retreated, Celeste was going to have even more problems.
Thanks to the continuous oohs and cheers from the crowd, which was just a bunch of overexcited racket if you asked her, she couldn't hear what Aunia was saying, but she could darn sure see her jaw flapping. Sawyer couldn't help but snicker at the Eevee, remembering what she'd said before the coordinator had to go out. Speaking of the brown fluffball, the girl turned her head to where she now saw a large blue canine and a girl loaded down with eggs and pokemon galore. Lesa, for sure. Unfortunately they had to return to the seats they'd used prior to this round and couldn't sit closer to one another, both because that's what the announcer had said to do and because of the whole 'respect others by not stealing their seat' thing. Bah. Oh well - she'd be meeting up with her later, if anything, and they could catch up then. Lesa's new egg was evidence that something had happened while she was away.
"C'mon Celeste! You'll think of something!" she cheered, Luca chanting his own message at her pokemon. Although, honestly, Sawyer wasn't sure what her friend could do to get past that fog. Maybe Vulpina could use those illusion skills of hers and 'transform' into one of the other pokemon to confuse them, but then what could Aunia do? Hit the enemy with an attack while they were confused? Head tilted, she watched the battlefield expectantly, eager to see how Celeste would work around it.

Celeste gritted her teeth at the damage her pokemon took and at Aunia's attitude and shook her head to clear it. She thought carefully as her opponent got ready to call his next attack, and her pokemon made nervous sounds as they had yet to receive an order from Celeste.
"Celeste! They're coming!" Aunia snapped. Celeste smirked and stood up straighter, pointing forward.
"Alright. Vulpina, Aunia, let's try out that combo we talked about before we came out here. Formation: Dark Ring!" Celeste commanded. Vulpina grinned evilly as she jumped on top of Aunia.
"Zorua!" Here we go! She said as she flipped them both in the air. Vulpina's eyes glowed as she and Aunia were engulfed in a swirling blue light. Wingull and Starly stopped before their attacks could form and hovered in shock as Vulpina and Aunia landed. The crowd gasped as they observed not two pokemon, but one! Standing its ground, a dark fox with yellow rings glared at it's opponent, and the judges burst into applause and the score of Celeste's opponent went down.
"And Celeste is taking full advantage of her Zorua's Illusion ability! By standing on top of her partner, Zorua has completely transformed into one of Eevee's many forms, the dark-type Umbreon! Never before have I ever seen someone induce such a flawless false evolution!" Obsidian said, marveling at the technique. Celeste beamed as she looked over the Umbreon in front of her, amazed that they were actually able to pull it off. Now was not the time to dwell on it though, she had to land a hit before her opponent came out of their stupor.
"Alright, let's use Shadow Ball and Leer!" She commanded. The umbreon stepped forward and opened it's mouth, unleashing a dark purple ball and firing it at Wingull. Starly attempted to block the attack, but was stopped cold by umbreon's glaring Leer attack.
[RESULT: 8] 8 Damage on Wingull, moves do damage +2 on starly
Starly attempted to block the attack, but was stopped cold by umbreon's glaring Leer attack. Celeste grinned wickedly as her plan seemed to be working perfectly.
"This battle will be over before you know it girls!" Celeste called out.
"Don't count your Butterfree before they hatch, we've got a long way to go!" Aunia's voice rang out as Starly veered toward the umbreon.
"Separate them with Wing Attack!
[RESULT: 7]
And the attack connected, starly pulling Vulpina off of Aunia as soon as it hit, breaking the illusion. Vulpina yelped as she was launched away from her partner, and Celeste watched as her point circle decreased.
Aunia: 16/22 Vulpina: 13/22 Wingull: 11/21 Starly: 19/21

...So it wasn't fog at all, then. The Wingull hadn't used Mist like she'd thought it had, and the cloud was simply the effects of a ball capsule. FFFFFF. Sawyer smacked her forehead in self agony, still peeping at the battle through an opened eye. Well, she guessed she should have known that, since the Starly hadn't made any moves to accompany Mist if it had been used. A few people beside her gave her an odd look, and she stuck her tongue out. What, couldn't a girl have a mental discussion? The guy still had his lip snurled up in distaste, and to try and redeem herself, Sawyer cleared her throat and mentioned to the battlefield.
"Celeste is a friend of mine; I'm simply worrying about her like a good friend should." For a moment, the dude seemed content with that answer and held his tongue. She'd closed her eyes in pride only to hear the fellow chortling and pointing downward.
"Looks like you should be worrying, the chick's pokemon can't even hold an illusion up against two pathetic birds!" Sawyer feinted and blinked, turning to see what had happened. Looked like the other team's attack had landed, was all, and Vulpina couldn't hold up the Umbreon stance anymore. What was so wrong with that? A growl formed in the back of her throat, hands clenching into fists.
"So, you think it's easy to stay calm after being slammed down by a pokemon, huh?" she snapped, eye twitching. "Then let's see how you can handle it." The trainer - at least, he looked like a trainer with those pokeballs on his belt - furrowed his brow, unsure of what she meant. But before he had a chance to figure it out, Luca was facing him, head low and legs ready to propel him forward. "Use tackle on that sorry sunuva--"
Suddenly, a hand cut in, a taller individual looming over Sawyer and the other trainer. "Is there a problem here?" he asked, flashing the two of them the inside of his jacket. For a second Sawyer was about to squee, thinking he was selling pocketwatches, however, she gulped instead. A badge of some sorts.. he must have been involved with the contest staff. Sighing in defeat, the girl turned back to the battle below.
"No." Then, throwing her hands up in a flail, she shouted down towards her friend. "Go Celeste! Kick his tail!" The man shrugged and patted the now disgruntled trainer on his shoulder, shifting through the bleachers. Sawyer grumbled something under her breath in the meantime.

Celeste refused to give up as Vulpina stood back up, looking determined toward her opponents. Celeste cracked her knuckles and cleared her throat to call out an attack.
"Vulpina, payback on starly! Aunia, tail-whip wingull!" She called as the two pokemon rushed forward.
[RESULT: 10] 10 damage on starly +2, all attacks do damage +2 on wingull
And they both scored massive critical hits on their opponents, moving as if dancing all the while. Starly could barely stand but his trainer was equally determined.
"Double aerial ace!" He called as the birds charged toward the foxes.
[RESULT: 1]
Vulpina and Aunia were on top of their game now, and dodged the attack almost flawlessly, taking minor damage. Celeste grinned and crossed her arms, looking smug.
"That's how we do it!" She said. Aunia rolled her eyes but said nothing as she concentrated on the battle.
Aunia: 15/22 Vulpina: 12/22 Wingull: 11/21 Starly: 7/21

"HOLY SCRAFTY" Sawyer blurted, a huge smile forming as she glared at the dude who'd called her friend out earlier. "Take that bird man! Celeste's gonna win this, just you see!" The trainer calmed herself moments later, crossing her arms and leaning back rather smugly. Luca was still leaning forward and throwing his paw around in a cheer, almost losing his footing again. He really needed to stop doing that... oops!
In his flail, he'd managed to knock someone's hotdog out of their hand and topple down to land on a man's toupe. Which fell off moments later. The now infuriated man yelped in embarrassment and began fuming afterward, but Sawyer was too busy laughing her arse off to notice. It took all she had to keep herself from falling back in tearful cackles and stay focused on Celeste's battle, but somehow she pulled through.

There were 3 minutes left on the clock and yet the pokemon in battle were feeling tired. Celeste bit her lip as she watched them pant, but she figured it was just because this was their first time. She had to finish this quickly, she knew she had to. She cracked her knuckles and cleared her throat, hoping to end this soon. "Alright Vulpina, Fury Swipes! Aunia, use Shadow Ball on Vulpina!" She called, Vulpina ran forward towards her opponents while Aunia concentrated, creating a giant ball of dark power. She threw the power at Vulpina, who jumped up and smashed her claws into the shadow ball. "Zoooooooooooooo!!!!!" She screamed as she absorbed the power, turning her Fury-Swipes into a Shadow Fury-Swipes. She rushed towards Starly and wingull, claws ablaze and prepared to deal the final blow. [RESULT: 8] +2 on Wingull The shadow fury-swipes unleashed power unlike any other on the two birds, and sent the Starly flying into it's trainers and left Wingull panting hard. It could not take much more of this. Before her opponent could call out an attack, however, Celeste got in a command first. "Aunia, help me finish this with Tackle!" Celeste cried out. "It's about time!" The Eevee snapped as she ran towards Wingull, putting everything she had into a full-body tackle. [RESULT: 8] By throwing her body into the bird, she knocked that wingull right out of the ring. Triple X's appeared on the screens of the Judges Table as they declared her opponent no longer able to battle. Obsidian stepped onto the field and adjusted her mike as everyone cheered. "And with two minutes and thirty-five seconds left on the clock, our winner is Celeste from Thundera City!" Obsidian announced while everyone cheered louder. Celeste stepped onto the field and ran toward her pokemon, embracing them tightly. "Thank you thank you thank you! I could not have done this without you two, and I would not have won without your help Aunia!" Celeste chirped. Aunia had never looked more full of herself than she did right then and there, and for good reason. "No problem, though you may wanna rethink some of your strategies next time." She said, making Celeste laugh. Standing on center stage with Aunia, Vulpina, Pendra and Reso, Celeste waved at the cheering crowd. One by one the judges came up and congratulated Celeste, ending with Mr. Contesta holding a case out to her. "Since this is your first contest, please take this official contest ribbon case, complementary of course. We have taken the liberty of placing your prize, the SeaRidge Ribbon, inside for you." He said. Celeste took the case and looked inside, smiling at the pretty blue ribbon. She looked at her pokemon beside her and smiled, turning back to Mr. Contesta. "Um, sir, may I ask you something?" She asked, pocketing the ribbon case. Mr. Contesta nodded and stayed put to hear her question. Celeste leaned in and whispered something in his ear, Mr. Contesta furrowed his brows as he looked at Obsidian, who gave a whistle. From backstage an Umbreon ran out, carrying something in its mouth. It ran to Obsidian, who took the object from the pokemon and handed it to Celeste. "Here you are. This one will not count towards your total, but there is no harm in letting your pokemon look fashionable." She said as Celeste took it. She looked down at her pokemon and smiled as the contest came to a close, and she and her brood made their way to the lobby to find her friends. It was slightly easier to make it back through the crowd this time. Slightly. She didn't have two foxes hanging on her shoulders as she pushed through the crush of people, but she still had to be extremely careful. Celeste's egg did not have the protective dome that hers did, so she was actually rather fearful for it's safety. One wrong move, one bump, and she'd be holding an omelet rather than an egg. A thought flashed through her that she should offer her companion the extra case that had protected Jupiter, but at the moment it was in her bag, and that would be too difficult to get to. So she simply had to depend on the protective bubble that Comet was creating. For once, his presence was not too bothersome. Not that she didn't love the big puppy, but he was quite the attention grabber.
When she finally made it to the lobby, it wasn't hard to pinpoint Celeste. She had a crowd gathered around her, some congratulating her, some complimenting her, and most oogling jealously over the ribbon she now possessed. "Excuse me! Friend coming through!" The chattering crowd paid her absolutely no mind. For a few minutes it was amusing, but then it simply became annoying. So she turned to Comet. "Would you get these guys attention for me?" The suicune tilted his head, then opened his mouth...
Letting loose one of his patented squeaky baby roars.
It wasn't overly loud, but it was curious enough to make people turn and look. And of course, once they saw him, well... Most people shut up. And Lesa took full advantage. "Celeste would you tell your fans here to let me through? I'd like to give you this egg back one of these days," she added with a chuckle.
When she finally did make it into the circle of Celeste, she grinned at the girl and congratulated her. "That was amazing! I knew you could do it, didn't I tell you? And that trick you did with Vulpina turning Aunia into an umbreon was amazing. Here's your egg. If you want to grab that dome out of my bag to put it in so it has some protection, I don't blame you." Chatty today, wasn't she?

Celeste chuckled as she took her egg back, cuddling it close to her chest. The egg warmed comfortably in her arms as if it missed her, and she welcomed it. Celeste felt rather naked without her egg, and was more than happy to have it back in her arms. She looked up at Lesa and waved her hand.
"No, it's alright. I missed my egg and I rather like holding it myself. It's so warm." She said, nuzzling it. Aunia returned to her spot dutifully on Lesa's shoulder as her trainer babbled on about Celeste's performance, making the coordinator blush.
"To be honest, I didn't think that technique would work, and I was sorta hoping it would last longer. That's something I`ll work on for the next contest. Thanks so much for letting me borrow Aunia. Which reminds me! Reso, can you hold the egg for me?" She asked. Reso nodded and focused his mind on her egg, making it levitate in the air while she fished out her ribbon case. She pulled it open and stuck something inside, pulling out her ribbon. She held the ribbon out and placed it on Aunia's furry collar.
"That is yours just as much as it is mine. I asked the judges for a second one so I could still have one to take to the grand festival, but you get to keep the original, I would not have gotten it without your help." She purred to the eevee, putting her ribbon case away and reclaiming her egg. She hugged her egg close and cracked her neck, pulling out Reso's pokeball to recall him. Pendra climbed up her leg and replaced herself onto Celeste's backpack while Vulpina climbed onto her shoulder, exhausted from her contest. Celeste chuckled and scratched the Zorua's furry head while she turned to her friends with a smile.
"So, shall we get going? Torrentia City isn't too far away from here. We could make it there in a few hours, or less than one if Comet took us." She said as the girls exited the contest hall.
