Will shrugged "I take care of my own before I worry about others. And Libra needed the experience. We have a Gym leader to beat in the next town."
He rubbed Libra's head in approval. "I enter a battle to win. A win means my Pokemon get hurt less. If I could I would fight with my own fists but you don't win gym battles without Pokemon."
He settled down on the grass. He never did feed them the big lunch he had promised when they won the gym battle. "Hey you want lunch?"

Natalie sighed. his comment made since after all she did the same thing. Protected herself before she protected others. At the offer of food she blinked suprised that he was still being civil with her.
"Uh not right now." she laid down the driftloon down out of harm's way and turned to her Pokemon. " I'm more interested in training than in food. Sewaddle and trapinch need to get stronger."
She scratched her head as she looked around. Hmm no wild Pokemon were in sight.

Will petted Libra as he tore up grass to eat. "Yeah I could use some training too." How about a battle? I'm interested in seeing how good you are."
He looked up at Trick hovering above his head. "What do you say my friend? You up for a battle?"
The Gastly laughed and circled his head before moving in front of him in appropriate battle position.

Natalie smirked and looked over to her Sweaddle. This would be fun. Sewaddle nodded and let Natalie take her off her shoulder and place her on the ground.
Natalie picked up trapinch and jogged a few steps back.
"Sewaddle Sliver Wind."

Trick was blown back a little from the blast of the wind. He wore a shocked expression that Will just had to chuckle at.
With out waiting for an order he poof-ed in front of Sewaddle and gave her a good Lick.
Will shrugged, that would work.

Natalie bounced in excitement as her Sewaddle had managed to wiggle out of the way for the Lick attack. It wouldn't do for her to get paralyzed so soon.
"Go for it Sewaddle!" Sewaddle chirped and blasted off another Sliver Wind.

"Keep going Sewaddle!" Natalie called out, Damn if only Sliver Wind wasn't so weak against a Gastly. She wasn't sure that she could win this. But she wasn't going to give up.
Her Sewaddle took a fortifying breath and fired off another attack.

Will watched Natalie's obvious dispeasure at how the battle was turning out, and knew that Sewaddle wasn't doing as well as she had hoped. oh well all the more in his favor. "Lick Trick."
The Gastly moved forward with his favorite attack.

"Trick keep going. use astonish." Will called out. They seemed to be having more luck with that attack rather then with Lick.
Trick took a few seconds to sulk at his missed attack and wince with the pain from the battle before shooting off the attack.

Natalie bounced this was better then at the beginning. They just had to whittle down more of Gastly's health. Just like they had been.
Sewaddle seemed to understand this as she escaped most of Gastly's attack unscathed and shot off her attack once again.

Well this was a turn for the worse. that last Sliver Wind had managed to take a big chunck out of Trick despite the type advantage.

Trick whined but fired off another astonish.
